Are you interested in making better images out in nature, but not sure where to start? Do you like hanging out with other photographers in nature to create images and learn together? Join Pro Photo Supply and Aaron Norberg, the northwest Sigma Tech Rep, for an introduction to the wide world of waterfall and forest photography at this group meetup at Panther Creek Falls!

For this event, we will hold a short virtual meeting on Google Meet in the evening on Wednesday, October 23rd at 7:00 pm where we’ll answer any questions about driving to and parking at Panther Creek Falls, cover what gear you’ll want to be sure you have, and answer any other questions. Aaron will talk about which lenses Sigma will have available for attendees to try in the field. On the day of the meet-up, we’ll meet on-site at Panther Creek Falls to cover the basics and give you tips on exposure settings to help you capture scenes you’ll be happy to share, print, and post! Lastly, Aaron will loan out Sigma lenses to attendees before we head down to the falls.

There are two observation points at Panther Creek Falls, the upper area is a short 5-minute walk from the trailhead and the lower observation point is about 10 minutes from the trailhead. Attendees will be able to capture images from both observation points as well as lush forest scenes, and colorful detail shots along the trail.

PLEASE NOTE: The trails are relatively steep and in parts of the lower trail quite narrow. Appropriate footwear, and comfortability on a moderately challenging, albeit very short, trail are needed for this event. If you are unsure, please refer to the video below to watch a sped-up phone recording of a Pro Photo Staff member traversing the trail earlier in September.
