SUMMARY:Film Photography Basics: Camera Operation Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Film Photography Basics: Camera Operation Workshop \nMarch 16\, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. \nFranklin Foto\n8953 N Lombard St\nPortland\, OR 97203 \nWednesday – Sunday\, 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.\nhttps://www.franklinfoto.org/ \nCost: 100.00 \n\nThis workshop is designed for beginners looking for an overview of film photography\, but it can also serve as a refresher for anyone who is rekindling a relationship with the process. \nWe’ll begin the class with an in-depth look at film as a medium. We will talk about film sizes and the kinds of cameras they require\, color versus black and white and the differences in their processes\, and how different lenses can impact your image. We will then talk about how you can get the image you want by covering the exposure functions of your camera and the basics of how to use your light meter. \nThe class will then depart Franklin Foto for a photo walk around St. Johns to practice their new skills. We’ll then stop for a brief lunch at a local cafe before returning to Franklin Foto for a debrief. \nIt is important that students have a working film camera\, capable of full manual controls. \nFranklin Foto has loaner cameras for students to borrow if necessary. Students will need to bring their own film (two or more rolls are recommended). \nAt Franklin FOTO we never want finances to be a barrier to access. Please feel free to use our sliding-scale to pay whatever amount makes sense for your budget. \nView more information and sign up for classes at our website\, https://www.franklinfoto.org/s…
