Make a solar filter and learn how to photograph the sun in preparation for the Annular Solar Eclipse that will take place on October 14th this year. OSU faculty members Randall Milstein (Physics), Julia Bradshaw (Photography) and Tom Carrico (Astro-photographer and member of the Heart of the Valley Astronomy club) will conduct the workshop. You will learn about eclipses, make a solar filter, and receive instruction on how to photograph the annular eclipse.

Workshops take place on Saturdays from 9am – 11am and are limited to 24 people. Workshops are open to students and community members. Bring a camera, ideally one with manual controls, and a tripod if you have one. However, we will work with whatever camera you have. All other materials will be provided. No prior skill is needed. All are welcome.
