Photography at Oregon’s 47th Annual Exhibit and Auction is nearly upon us!

We’ve already received an impressive collection of print donations from noted photographers locally and nationally. So far, contributions include prints from artists such as Christopher Burkett, Christopher Landis, Ken Hawkins and Brian Lanker, as well as outstanding works from many exceptional local and regional artists, such as Michael Z. Taylor, Barbora Bakalarova, Sarah Grew, Walt O’Brien, and Doremus Scudder, just to name a very few.

As in years past, there will be three Auction Exhibits featuring prints from the Online Auction at Dot Dotson’s Gallery in Eugene, one each in May, June and July. This year, the online auction and the three exhibits will run concurrently. You can view a select number of photographs at Dot Dotson’s each month and view and bid on the entire selection of over 85 photographs online at auctria.events/PAO2025.

The first installment of the PAO Auction Exhibit opens Friday, May 2nd at Dot Dotson’s Gallery, 1668 Willamette St. Eugene, OR 97401

There will be an Opening Reception from 5-6 p.m., complete with wine and hors d’oeuvres.We hope to see you there.

The exhibit will run all of May, Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. till 1:00 p.m.

Following that, new works will be displayed each month through the end of the auction period, so watch for the exhibit changes at the beginning of June and July so you can see these remarkable prints in person. These will be First-Friday opening receptions from 5-6 p.m. for each of the exhibits.

The Online Auction itself will be open for bids starting May 1st and continuing through July 31st. The entire selection of photographs will be online, so, starting May 1st, visit https://www.auctria.events/PAO… to view and bid!

Photography At Oregon has had a busy and successful season, sponsoring exhibits and talks by many talented artists over the past year, including the exhibitions Shifting Focus at the Maude Kerns Art Center, featuring eight specifically invited photographers, Logic of the Subconscious by Steve Dzerigian at the New Zone Gallery, Unseen Images, a group show by the PAO committee members at Dot Dotson’s and Whispers of Nature by Franka Gabler at the Emerald Art Center, not to mention the many artists’ talks, lectures and, of course, our monthly Last Friday Photo Movie Night.

But we can’t continue without your help!

We are looking forward to an active turnout for the 2025 Auction! Remember, that all auction proceeds go toward promoting and sponsoring photography exhibits and events by PAO, as they have for the past 45 years. Our success is directly due to the generosity of many fine photographers donating work, giving back to the medium we all love, as well as the generosity and commitment of our bidders.
