We have another fantastic collection exhibited online this month of August. Linda is our Featured Artist, with her dreamy Infrared images taken currently at the Oregon Coast.

The Featured Artist exhibit is a part of the PhotoZone Gallery’s collection of photographs by its members, a diverse group of individuals interested in the fine art of photography. This includes silver print, platinum/palladium, gum bichromate, and digital production. Many kinds of work are welcome, including hand-colored, airbrush, 3-D, collage, HDR, portraiture, street photography, nature photography, abstract expression, mixed media, and the list goes on. All exhibits are refreshed monthly.

In 1988 a group of 18 photographers opened an exhibit in the old Midgley Building on High Street in Eugene, Oregon, and the PhotoZone Gallery was born. Of the group’s purpose a member wrote, “The primary requirement for membership is a dedication to photography as an expressive medium.” A quarter century and 100+ exhibits later PhotoZone continues to provide a venue for fine art photography in Eugene. The group continues to exhibit in various locations and sponsors its annual juried show (currently on hold due to COVID) which is open only to non-members. Many photographic artists receive their first public exposure by entering PhotoZone’s annual juried show.
