LightBox Photographic Gallery opens Kathy Radie’s “Outlawed Territory” from 4-7pm on Saturday, May 10th. LightBox invites you to share the night with LightBox Guild member Kathy Radie who exhibits a collection of work in the LightBox Upper Gallery.

“The back roads of America’s West always have a story to tell. The story becomes more interesting as the road narrows and the gravel roughens.

Through my lens, I capture fragments of forgotten dreams and emerging stories. Each frame is a piece of a puzzle made up of abandoned ambitions, heartbreak, the enduring beauty of the land, and the resilience of those who dare to settle in this rugged region.

Who were the dreamers that envisioned a church, a business, or a ranch in these locations? And who, even today, tries to make a go of it in this demanding yet breathtaking landscape?

My photographs provide a fleeting glimpse into a faded past, filled with secrets and layered stories that may never be fully uncovered. They also capture present pursuits rich with the promise of untold chapters waiting to be written.”
