“Through our journey in life there is struggle and reward. I try to make sense of it all by taking photos. I’m fascinated by the people and places I encounter along my journey and try to document it in interesting ways. I began my photo journey in Vietnam over fifty years ago and have been documenting my journey ever since. I studied photojournalism at Arizona State University.
I’ve had many occupations but I never lost my enthusiasm for photography. No matter how small the space I lived in, I always had a darkroom. Photography is a passion that rewards you throughout your life.
Over the past five years I have become interested in infrared photography. I have two camera that I had converted to Infrared. One is called a 590 conversion and the other is an 830 conversion. The 590 sensor allows some of the normal color light waves through and I can create color infrared photos. With the 830, it is completely black and white. Capturing the world in infrared has given me a new range of possibilities for creating captivating images.”
