SUMMARY:Nicholas Dill\, Tides of the Mind
DESCRIPTION:Nicholas Dill\, Tides of the Mind \nMay 9 – June 10\, 2026 \nLightBox Photographic Gallery & Fine Printing\n1045 Marine Drive\nAstoria\, Oregon 97103\n(503) 468-0238\nHours: Wednesday – Saturday 12 pm to 5 pm \n“This portfolio\, ‘Tides of the Mind\,’ explores the liminal space where ocean meets land. The coastline fascinates me as a place of juxtaposition: eternally changing yet constant\, dramatic yet calm. Through long exposures\, these photographs move away from literal description\, becoming places which I feel I have visited in memory but could not exist in waking life.” \n– Nicholas Dill \nAll images are from the Oregon and Washington coast. This entire exhibit is printed in platinum/gold and presented in custom hardwood frames made by Nicholas. \nComplete show info is on the LightBox website\, http://lightbox-photographic.com/shows/. SUMMARY:Julie Moore at LightBox Photographic Gallery
DESCRIPTION:Julie Moore at LightBox Photographic Gallery \nJune 13\, 2026 through July 08\, 2026\nOpening Reception from 4 – 7pm on Saturday\, June 13 \nLightBox Photographic Gallery & Fine Printing\n1045 Marine Drive\nAstoria\, Oregon 97103\n(503) 468-0238\nHours: Wednesday – Saturday 12 pm to 5 pm \nOur June exhibits mark a milestone: LightBox Photographic Gallery’s 18th anniversary. We are deeply grateful to everyone who has supported us across nearly two decades of celebrating the photographic arts. Join us for our Opening Reception on Saturday\, June 13 from 4–7pm at our gallery in Astoria\, Oregon. \nJulie Moore presents how a dream unfolds\, an exhibit of enhanced lumen prints. This exhibit offers a visual & immersive representation of the complex subject of dreaming. Long believed to be messages …whether from our unconscious or a source beyond our understanding …dreams have been studied and revered across all cultures. \nDreaming merges what our eyes see and what our hearts feel within our unconscious mind. They are a type of visual poetry that only hints at their deeper meanings & symbolisms. In this exhibit Julie focuses on the visual splendor and sometimes despair of our ‘dreaming world’. Whether dreams bring the softness of our loves & lives to better help us or the darkness to warn us\, they often provide a clearer picture of our angels and our demons. \nStep into a world where dreams transcend the boundaries of reality. how a dream unfolds invites you to explore the intricate layers of dreams through the enhanced lumen process. Images co-created with sun\, silver halide paper\, herbs\, spices and desire. The results are often un-expected and the dream-like qualities of light and form fill the room. \nComplete show info is on the LightBox website\, http://lightbox-photographic.com/shows/. LightBox also features work from The Guild at LightBox consisting of Jim Fitzgerald\, Jody Miller\, Julie Moore\, Marc McVey\, Rachel Wolf\, Kathy Radie\, Michael Puff\, Loren Nelson and Nicholas Dill.
